Here, we’ve compiled answers to some of the most common questions we receive regarding our services.

General

Here you could find the answers to the most common questions we are being asked.

Am I at the right address? I stand infront of an office building.

Yes, that is correct. Our office is located in the Plan B office building. The main entrance is open during business hours. You could use the two elevators to transport your bike to our office.
The office is located on the 4th floor, Office number: 10.

Can I come in without an appointment?

It is possible to visit us and ask questions without an appoinment.
It is possible to drop off your bike for repair without and appointment. Please keep in mind that most of times your bike would NOT be repaired the same day.
If you do not have and appointment please give us a call or text via WhatsApp first. There is a chance we might be away from the office during working hours.

Can you help me through the phone?

From personal experience and as much as we wish to help you, there is only so much we could do through the phone.
Yes, we could help you with small questions via the phone or through Whatsapp. For more complex questions we advise you to come at our store or book an appointment.
In some cases the language barrier is a real threat to our conversation and we might not understand each other. This leads to misunderstanding and bad experience for both parties.

What should I bring for my appointment?

If you have an electrical bike please bring your charger.
If you have bike chains and locks bring the keys for those locks with you.
If your ebike uses an app which can control the bike and check the bike's details, it is important to bring a phone that has this app installed and it is linked to the bike.

What NOT to bring for my appointment?

Please bring a relatively clean bicycle for your appointment. It will be much appreciated. If the bike is so dirty that it increases the time of the repair you would be charged extra for that repair.
Please take off all bike accessories that will interfear with the bicycle repair(chain locks, bags, phone holders, other modifications). In some cases those accessories increase the time of the repair you would be charged extra for that repair. Or the repair cannot be performed because the accessory is in the way(a chain lock which the customer forgot to give the key for).

How can I pay?

We accept online(iDeal) payments only. Once your repair is ready you will receive an email containing your invoice and a payment link. Click on the link and proceed with the payment.
You could also pay once you are in our store using the same method - we do NOT have a payment terminal. If you are a first time customer please bring your Digipas when planning to pay in our store. Some banks require verification before you could pay.
If we do not receive a verification of payment we cannot handover your bike.

Do I get warranty on a repair or refurbished bicycle?

We provide a warranty on our labor for a period of 30days starting from the time the customer picks up their bike. The 30th day included. For more detailed information please check our Terms & Conditions, point 8. Warranty.

I have a bike with this kind of problem. Can you fix it?

Before we could answer this question we would need some more information about your bike, like bike's brand and model. Information about the broken part, how and when did this happen. The more information the better.
It would be best if you could send us photos of the bike via WhatsApp.
From there on we could give you a rough estimation on what we could do for you. We would have to see the bike in person to determine the issue. Sometimes the problem comes from somewhere else or the damage is extended to multiple parts.

Vanmoof Repairs

Below are some of are common questions about Vanmoof bike service and repairs.

Are you a certified workshop?

No, we are NOT a Vanmoof certified workshop. We are an independent Vanmoof repair store. Our goal is to refurbish electrical parts when possible and educate the customer how to prolong the life of their bike.

Do you repair Vanmoof S1 bicycles?

We can repair the mechanical part of the S1 bicycles.
We tried to reverse engineer the S1 bike and came to the conclusion that we cannot provide electrical support for that Vanmoof model.
We can convert your bike to a non electric S1. This is done to save you weight, making the bike much lighter.

Do you repair Vanmoof S/A 5 bicycles?

Currently we are not offering electrical support for the S/A 5 models.
We are investigating if we can provide this service in the near future.

My bike has this electrical issue. Can you fix it?

In this type of situations extra issues can show up once we could test your bike in our store.
We could give you possible scenarios during our call or via text. This way you could decide if you would like to make a repair appointment.
The next step would be to make an electrical diagnosis of the bike. This way we could see what the issue is and if there are other components that are affected as well.

My bike has been checked by another bike store. They determine that I have this issue. Can you fix it?

In this cases we would like to inspect your bike ourselves first. Each bike store has there own way of checking a bicycle. Something might be missed in the process.
Before we inspect the bike ourselves we could only give you possible scenarios how much the repair would cost and if we can repair it or not.

How much would the repair cost?

We could only give you a repair price range, not a concrete repair price, via call or text.
We would have to inspect your bicycle to give you a price estimation.
